Leslie Eager

Founder of Yachtsman Fleet Products

Four decades of automation, controls, and service experience, applied to the whole boat.

Background

Experience built around complex equipment and real service work.

Automation, controls, and connected systems

His experience spans offshore drilling automation, autonomous machinery, embedded electronics, remote monitoring, diagnostics, simulation, industrial service, and product development.

Service leadership

His service experience includes Automation Service Manager and Global Service Products Manager roles, leading service engineers and developing services designed around real customer and equipment needs.

His work has involved systems where many machines, sensors, operators, and service teams must work from reliable information and respond clearly when conditions change.

Why I Built YFP

A boat should not feel like a collection of unrelated products.

Today, Leslie is applying that experience to a problem he understands personally as both an engineer and a boat owner: marine technology has become increasingly capable, but the information owners need is still divided across separate displays, devices, apps, records, and service providers.

Charting, position, engines, tanks, batteries, alarms, monitoring, service, and maintenance all describe the condition of the same vessel. I created YFP to bring that information together around the boat, make it easier to understand, and carry it into the decisions and work required to keep the vessel operating.

YFP principle Your vessel. One truth. Everywhere.

That means useful information at the helm, clear alarms when something changes, access to vessel status when the owner is away, and better evidence when maintenance or repair is required.

Experience Behind YFP

From industrial controls apprenticeship to vessel-centered systems.

Leslie began his engineering career with a four-year industrial controls apprenticeship in Birmingham, England. Since then, his work has included:

Across those roles, the recurring challenge has remained the same: turning information from complex equipment into something people can understand, trust, and act upon.

Building Around the Whole Boat

YFP brings that systems approach to marine electronics.

The product family connects charting, GPS, NMEA 2000 vessel data, dashboards, advanced alarms, monitoring, history, service, and maintenance around one vessel-centered system.

YFP's patent-pending, AI-assisted vessel maintenance service package uses vessel information, alarms, history, and equipment context to help surface likely faults and maintenance needs for owner, captain, and technician review.

The objective is not to add technology for its own sake. It is to give owners, captains, builders, installers, and service teams a clearer understanding of the boat and a better path from information to action.

  1. Bring charting, vessel data, monitoring, and history together.
  2. Use alarms and equipment context to support service review.
  3. Carry the result into maintenance decisions and follow-up work.
